I was in high school when I heard this song for the first time, I was in a band, and our lead guitarist love this song so much that when we practice together, we always play this song, so it also represent the green days of my high school and my band. Hope you enjoy the song.
Lyrics:
She's got a smile that it seems to me
Reminds me of
childhood memories
Where everything was
as fresh as the bright blue sky
Now and then when I
see her face
She takes me away to
that special place
And if I stared too
long
I'd probably break
down and cry
Sweet child o'
mine
Sweet love of
mine
She's got eyes of the
bluest skies
As if they thought of
rain
I hate to look into those eyes
And see an ounce of
pain
Her hair reminds me
of a warm safe place
Where as a child I'd
hide and pray
for the thunder and the rain to quietly pass me
by
Sweet child o'
mine
Sweet love of
mine
Where do we go
Where do we go
now
Where do we go
Sweet child o' mine
Hi George! Guns N' Roses is awesome. The song " Rocket Queen" is also grandeur. The guitar tone in the song is special and I love it. Furthermore, the bridge of the song is striking. Also, "Knockin On Heavens Door" is renowned. Many bands in high school love copy the song and perform it in public. All in all, Guns N' Roses is our icon. By the way, hope our cooperation will be a undiminished memory, and we will have a electrifying show. ^_^
ReplyDeleteHeyyyyy! I love the songs in the 80s, too! It's an amazing period of music that so many remarkable songs have been written during that time. My favorite is THE BEATLES!!!!! Did your band play THE BEATLES songs before? I know you are such a professional guitar player haha, it seems you've got some talent of music from your parents:P
ReplyDeleteGun N' Roses is really great, and as you say, they are one of the most representative band when mention the music in the 80s. Thank you for sharing this awesome song! You rock!
George, here is a comment by Monica (she couldn't post this comment due to a technical problem):
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOD!!!!!! This song is on my top 3 list!! I love this song so much ,too. Sorry for being so excited..... I joined the hot music club when I was in high school and I was a vocal. I remember at that time every performance of students in hot music club played this song, right? And the audience, usually our own friends, would scream our name loudly. I really have fun joining this club. I always want to give this song a try. However, I guess a girl's voice can't sing it well.(You must know what I mean:)) By the way, the guitar's solo part is really really cool. Hope I can see you post your playing next week!!!
